The Grand Opening was held on May 10, 2014 with many donors and volunteers present to celebrate.  Lion Eric Buskirk presented a short ceremony before a picnic lunch.  Two key volunteers were awards the Lion’s Melvin Jones Award for their help with the project.  Jim Marx and Jim ‘Archie’ Archibald, both Park employees, went above and below to make this project successful.  Each volunteered hours of their time during the planning and construction of the project.  Lion Al Moser was asked to cut the ribbon at the Grand Opening.  He was the most enthusiastic club member during the project – Al was present to almost every construction day and provided invaluable support throughout the project.
