Hanging of the wreaths

For the last 3 weeks we have prepared pine cones and made bows for our wreath sales. We got the wreaths from Bob’s Trees last night and once again they look wonderful. Thank you to Lions Rick and Steve for picking them up. This morning about 20 Lions and friends attached bows and pine cones to 150 wreaths. We then proceeded to Shady Lane apartments where we hung about 100 wreaths on the apartment doors. It was a bright, blustery fall morning as can be seen in the picture below. Another 42 wreaths are going to 1st National Bank of Scotia.

On Tuesday night we will attach the pine cones to the remaining 200 wreaths so they’ll be ready for sale. Wreath sales are one of our fund-raising programs, along with our Spaghetti Dinner, our chocolate sales at Easter and the annual golf tournament. The wreaths sell for $15 apiece. We will make a little over $5 per wreath. All money will go to support our community programs
